The owner did not keep a copy of the original 8609s submitted to IRS, Philadelphia.  The owner’s copies do not have Part II completed.  How do I contact IRS, Philadelphia to get a copy of the original, submitted Forms 8609?

Good grief Julia, I do not know if they can provide that.  I would look to the the tax credit limited partners to see if they kept it.  I have a hard time understanding how a client could lose this?  The management agent or the LP investors should have it.  Further the state housing agency that issued the allocation may have one.

 

Good luck.  I would think the IRS would be your last hope…
