I have debt issuance costs with the capital advance program. The capital advance has been recorded in the equity section of the balance sheet. How should the new reporting for debt issuance costs be handled?

From Les Sparks:

I would include the debt issuance costs against the debt as you would any other loan. Interest is obviously not charged, but will have to include the amortization. I would just include the amortization there. Of course, on the cash flow it will still be shown as amortization included as interest in the P&L.
