Hi Les ,

The Organization I am auditing is accruing interest on a flexible subsidy loan, payments are not due until the original mortgage is paid off.  Should the accrued interest be considered a loan made to the Organization and included in the SEFA?

Thanks,
Alan

Alan, some of these items did not show up to me in the system or I somehow did something wrong. SO, I apologize.

Interest on a flexible loan is not seen as a Federal award. The same could be said of any interest on a governmental loan. Even RD, who actually makes the loan, does not consider the interest as a Federal award unless it is being forgiven under a specific program.
