New to HUD Audits? Just in time for Back to School... We are introducing our first ever HUD 101 course.
AHACPA will be conducting a new webinar series for persons new to the HUD audit area.  This course will be an introduction to the required concepts for auditing HUD Projects. The training will be conducted as a webinar and will be in two four-hour sessions.  There are no prerequisites for this course other than a basic understanding of audit theory.

SESSION 1 TOPICS:

  • Introduction to compliance auditing
  • Introduction to HUD and related programs
  • Government reliance on financial & compliance audits
  • The HUD Audit Guide components & processes
  • Introduction to Government Auditing Standards
  • Audit Standards related to compliance audits
  • This course qualifies for 4 CPE credits in Governmental auditing

  • Audit package contents and structure
  • Audit reports (Yellowbook and HUD)
  • Internal Control requirements
  • Reporting noncompliance

  • Course offered: August 19 & September 10
This class will be taught by Les Sparks, President of AHACPA
The class will include forms and other documents necessary to understand a normal staff role in a HUD Audit.

WEBINAR CPE CREDIT INFORMATION

Objective: To learn HUD accounting, auditing, and electronic submission requirements and how to efficiently implement those requirements.
Prerequisites / Advanced Preparation: None
Instructional Method: Group Internet Based
Length / CPE Credits: Up to 4 hours CPE Credit (governmental accounting/governmental auditing)
Cancellation Policy: All cancellation requests must be received in writing (email or fax is fine). Registration fees are fully refundable provided the request is received at least one week prior to the course. Requests received after this date, but one week before the course will receive a refund less an administration fee of $20. No refunds will be issued for cancellation requests received on the day of, or after the course.
Substitutions: If you are unable to attend a course you may substitute another individual or change locations without penalty. The location change must be within the same calendar year. For proper CPE credit and record keeping, you must notify us in advance of any substitution or change in location.
