Lender Audit Guide Reissued |
HUD’s Office of Inspector General has released an updated version of Chapter 7 of the HUD Audit Guide. The version has been released in an effort to comply with recent changes in Handbook 4000.1. There are multiple items that may affect lender clients. One of the largest is a redefinition of unacceptable assets related to real estate owned. This addition to unacceptable assets is as follows:
Any asset that is real property, including all land and any buildings attached to it; other than the home office registered with HUD in accordance with Handbook 4000.1, Section I.A.3.c.iii.
