June 2025 – There is an issue when completing the CPA Certification for a REAC-FASSUB Submission. See the bottom of this post for a temporary fix.
The usual steps are:
- Submit for CPA Certification
- Continue with CPA Certification
- Is the audit firm performing the agreed upon procedures the same firm performing the audit? Yes/No
- Verify the audit firm information
- Submission Warning
- Fill out Agreed Upon Procedures (CPA Certification)
- Click on Complete Certification Procedures Button
- Confirmation Page “The Certification Process has been successfully completed. Please notify the person who will do the actual submission to HUD so that the process can be finalized. Click OK to view”
At this point you can normally view/print the completed CPA Certification and then return to the FASSUB menu to complete the submission.
The new issue happens on step 7 when you click to complete certification procedures. Instead of the confirmation page, this error pops up, which makes you think your ID isn’t set up correctly, when it actually is.
At this point you are no longer able to print a copy of the completed Agreed Upon Procedures (CPA Certification). When you return to the FASSUB
SOLUTION
Using a “Bookmarklet” you can view the completed CPA Cert. A Bookmarklet is a little program that is saved as a link as a bookmark on your browser.
To use the bookmarklets you will need to make sure the bookmarks toolbar on your browser is visible. If you aren’t sure what that means, these directions will show you how to do that.
Drag this button to your browser’s bookmark toolbar. This will add an option to view the CPA Certification.
When you get to the Statement Selection Screen initially you will only see the submit button.
Click on the Bookmarklet which you saved to your bookmarks toolbar. Now you will see a View CPA Certification Button.
