Last updated: 02/13/2026 – This Privacy Policy explains how The Affordable Housing Association of Certified Public Accountants (“AHACPA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information, including in connection with our website, course registration, and electronic submission services.

Membership and Course Registration Information We Collect Via Our Website

  • Identifiers (e.g., name, postal address, email, phone, IP address)
  • Course attendance history
  • Device Data (browser, usage logs, cookies)
  • Credit card is collected and encrypted at the time of processing a payment. We do not save or otherwise maintain credit card data

HUD Electronic Submission Information We Collect via ShareFile or Other Secure Means

  • Identifiers (e.g., name, postal address, email, phone, IP address)
  • Financial statement data – The financial data, financial statements, word processing files, and any other documents provided to us are confidential and are for the sole purpose of completing the electronic submission of the AFS. They are not released to any party other than HUD as part of the electronic submission process, without prior consent. How We Use Information

  • Provide and improve our consulting, submission, training, and web services
  • Send administrative and consent-based marketing updates
  • Analytical Review data collection – We periodically compile multifamily submission data to provide statistical analysis. This information is not used without prior consent. All personally identifiable information, or any other sensitive information, is fully removed from the data before compilation.

How We Share Information

  • AHACPA is a partner in AH Forward, a training and consulting firm targeted to Public Housing topics. AHACPA and AH Forward may share email contacts to provide relevant administrative and consent-based marketing updates.
  • As mentioned above, AHACPA occasionally provides analytical review data.
  • AHACPA does NOT sell or share any other personal information

Data Security & Retention
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Retention is limited to necessary periods for legal and business purposes.
