This course will help the attendee understand the HUD cost certification process. The course will cover:

• Guidance from chapter 13 of HUD’s Multifamily Accelerated Processing Guide, and other programs such as the 232 program
• Reporting requirements for mortgagor’s, contractor’s, and possible subcontractor’s certifications, including required cut-off dates and types of reports to be issued
• Requirements of chapter 5 of the HUD Audit Guide, including required modifications to the sample reports
• Tips for the conduct of the audit procedures
• Customization of engagement letters and representation letters for these types of audits
