🔖Bookmarklets are little scripts (programs) that you save on your Internet browser’s bookmarks toolbar or favorites toolbar. To use the bookmarklets you will need to make sure the bookmarks or favorites toolbar is visible. If you aren’t sure what that means, these directions for Google Chrome, or these directions for Microsoft Edge, will show you how to do that.
To install bookmark just click and hold the button below and drag it to the toolbar. Some of the bookmarklets will FIX an issue, others IMPROVE formatting or efficiency.
FIX – View Participant Assignment Maintenance roles and participant (project) Names
REAC is broken and does not display the roles and participants correctly unless using FireFox. This bookmarklet will reset the view in other browsers.
FIX – View Completed CPA Certification (Agreed-Upon Procedures Report)
FASSUB is broken and will not allow the user to view the completed CPA Certification. (as of 08/11/2025 it seemed to be working again) This will allow you to view it. Drag this button to your toolbar. After you have completed the CPA Certification, when you are back at the FASSUB Statement Selection Screen, before you click on the final submit button click on the View CPA Cert button in the toolbar. It will create a View CPA Cert button which will enable you to view and print the CPA Certificate.
FIX – Non-Profit Select a Statement Type Dropdown
REAC is broken sometimes. There are random instances in FASSUB when the select a statement type dropdown on the Verify AFS screen for non-profit entities is broken. The options for ‘Select a Statement Type’ dropdown are displayed in a single line, which prevents the user from creating a submission template. This bookmarklet will correct the dropdown menu.
IMPROVE – Reformat CPA Certification for Printing
This bookmarklet will clean up the look of the AUP Report. It sets all of the text to a uniform font and size and fits it to two pages.
IMPROVE – View FASSUB Submission Report
This is a tweak that Kathy uses when cranking through a large quantity of submissions. After the submission has validated, go to the FASSUB Statement Selection screen. Instead of clicking on the “view data” link use this bookmarklet to view the submission report in a smaller window that doesn’t completely cover up the active REAC window.
IMPROVE – FASSUB Administrative Request List Display
The Administrative Request list in FASSUB only displays 20 administrative requests per page. Because of the volume of projects assigned to my ID, I would have to scroll through nearly 20 pages to get to the most recent requests. This bookmarklet will list all requests on one page.
IMPROVE – General Form Filler
This works on any website form, not just HUD. Use this when entering the same information in a form repeatedly. Fill in the first form, then click on the bookmarklet. It will save the information you entered. When you are filling out the next form that needs the same information click on the bookmarklet again. Examples: filling out multiple extension requests, filling out and completing multiple AUPs, entering an online contest😀.
