In 2022 HUD  FASS-PH announced the switch from using Data Universal Number System (DUNS) to Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).

SAM.gov does not charge for registration or renewal of the UEI number. AHACPA has noticed an increase of solicitations for SAM.gov renewals. These have the appearance of an official communication from SAM.gov. The actual communication from SAM.gov looks like this:
